An excellent book. After reading it, it made me wish I had also purchased the second and third books but I wasn't feeling too adventurous that day so... This book is about people who wield elemental magic. When you have elemental magic in the weave, chances are you won't be disappointed. However, readers should note that the framework for the story is pretty much the same for most fantasy novels; a kingdom in turmoil because someone has usurped the throne or right to rule. But it works because the characters are unusual and likable. It was unputdownable from the beginning to the end. Can't wait to read the sequels!
